AQUATIC & TRADITIONAL PHYSICAL THERAPY

IN MIDDLETON, IDAHO

WHAT WE DO

Patients who are unable to walk or exercise on land can also benefit from the pool. Aquatic therapy has been proven to be helpful for people with fibromyalgia, arthritis, and many other medical conditions. The warm water provides a comfortable and relaxing environment for people to exercise, and the resistance of the water can help strengthen muscles and improve cardiovascular endurance. Water buoyancy reduces the effects of gravity on aching joints or injured muscles, making it less difficult or painful to participate in therapy. A chair lift is available to help patients in and out of the pool, as needed.

Traditional physical therapy plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, or dealing with chronic conditions. By employing a combination of exercises, manual therapies, and modalities tailored to individual needs, traditional physical therapy aims to restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall functionality. Beyond physical recovery, physical therapy promotes mental well-being by boosting confidence and independence. At Middleton PT, our hands-on approach to physical therapy fosters a personalized connection between the therapist and patient, allowing for tailored treatment plans that evolve with progress, ensuring optimal recovery and long-term health.

Aquatic physical therapy is an important tool for rehabilitation. Water immersion reduces the impact on joints and provides buoyancy, allowing for exercises with decreased stress on the body. This is ideal for individuals with joint pain, arthritis, or those recovering from surgeries. The water’s resistance helps build strength and endurance while supporting movements that might be challenging on land. Aquatic therapy improves flexibility, balance, and coordination in a low-impact environment, fostering quicker rehabilitation and promoting cardiovascular fitness. Overall, aquatic physical therapy offers a gentle yet effective approach to rehabilitation, catering to a wide range of conditions and aiding in a speedier recovery process.
